About Us

Introducing WWCC
WW Community Connections, Inc. (WWCC) is a faith-based, not-for-profit [501(c)3] community development organization intended to meet the humanitarian, educational and physical needs of people in southeastern Michigan.  Motivated by the love of God, the intent of WW Community Connections, Inc. is to promote the development and well-being of individuals, families and the communities of southeastern Michigan by partnering together as loving neighbors.

WWCC is governed by a Board of Directors consisting of local professionals and concerned community residents.  The organization is affiliated with Warren Woods Church of the Nazarene which has served the community since 1964.  WWCC is funded primarily through foundation and corporate sponsorship, government grants and individual contributors.  WWCC also accepts donated goods and services and gifts-in-kind.

WWCC has focused its efforts in these areas: youth at risk programs, after school care, job training, affordable housing for low income families, senior citizen programs including senior housing initiatives and humanitarian services.
Objectives
WWCC's main objective is to gather the right resources and distribute those resources to the people, community and various programs as outlined in our summary.  This is accomplished by:
  • Developing donors who recognize the same great needs of our community.
  • Minimizing overhead costs to ensure the greatest amount of donation reaches the needed programs.
  • Developing strategic partnerships with organizations helping to meet our goals.
  • Qualifying recipients of donations to ensure they are used for their intended purpose.

Community Programs
WWCC currently has these programs available to our community:

Food Assistance including: Hope Center provides food assistance to those living in Macomb county. The Hope center food pantry is a client choice food pantry. Please check out the Hope center website for more information. We also offer Angle Food which is a grocery relief program that provides food at a discounted price for those looking to reduce their grocery bill.

Family Financial Mentoring: family budgeting, bill payment, savings, checking, investing, IRA accounts, insurances and Social Security.

Sportsmen Against Hunger: In addition, we have partnered with “Sportsmen Against Hunger” to provide meat and other food products to Solid Ground Homeless Shelter in Macomb County. Our goal is to provide 5,000 pounds of meat annually for the shelter. We are interested in locating landowners that have out-of-season crop damage permits or in-season block permits to harvest deer for this project.
