WW Community Connections, Inc. (WWCC) is a faith-based, not-for-profit [501(c)3] community development organization intended to meet the humanitarian, educational and physical needs of people in southeastern Michigan. Motivated by the love of God, the intent of WW Community Connections, Inc. is to promote the development and well-being of individuals, families and the communities of southeastern Michigan by partnering together as loving neighbors. WWCC is funded primarily through foundation and corporate sponsorship, government grants and individual contributors. WWCC also accepts donated goods and services and gifts-in-kind. WWCC has focused its efforts in these areas: youth at risk programs, after school care, job training, affordable housing for low income families, senior citizen programs including senior housing initiatives and humanitarian services.
Objectives
WWCC's main objective is to gather the right resources and distribute those resources to the people, community and various programs as outlined in our summary. This is accomplished by:
Community Programs Family Financial Mentoring: family budgeting, bill payment, savings, checking, investing, IRA accounts, insurances and Social Security. Sportsmen Against Hunger: In addition, we have partnered with “Sportsmen Against Hunger” to provide meat and other food products to Solid Ground Homeless Shelter in Macomb County. Our goal is to provide 5,000 pounds of meat annually for the shelter. We are interested in locating landowners that have out-of-season crop damage permits or in-season block permits to harvest deer for this project. |
